CEEDA - and the roles of the organisations involvement

CEEDA is an international, vendor neutral, independent, assessment programme for energy efficiency within Data Centres.

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, owns and manages the CEEDA programme and Data Centres can be assessed against the CEEDA criteria. If successful, the Data Centre will be awarded the appropriate CEEDA award; Bronze, Silver or Gold.

The assessment of the data centre is performed by a BCS Accredited Program Provider (APP). Currently the primary APP is Datacenter Dynamics, and the assessment itself conducted by qualified Assessors.

The result of the assessment is audited by an Audit Provider (AP) on behalf of BCS. Currently this is the International Technology Audit and Advisory Services Ltd (ITAASL)
